About Dr. Cindy Zafis, DC, DACACD
Dr. Zafis has been in practice since 1992. In 1995 she moved to Sonoma County, California where she began working with patients with immune challenges, chemical sensitivities, chronic fatigue syndrome, digestive issues, and a host of other conditions.
Spanning the past 14 years, Dr. Zafis has helped more that 500 patients struggling with alcohol and drug issues as well as compulsive food cravings. She provides a whole-body approach to healing, taking patients from dependence to independence naturally. She does this throught a holistic program of increasing “feel good” chemicals in the brain and by balancing the biochemistry of the body. The treatment combines personalized Amino Acid and Nutritional Therapy, Chiropractic Spinal Realignment, and Auriculotherapy, a well-documented treatment for dependency withdrawal.
As a champion for holistic health and patient awareness, Dr. Zafis encourages people to make well-informed decisions for their health, and advocates non-pharmaceutical solutions.
Dr. Zafis has been a qualified Medical Examiner for the State of California and has received a Certification in Addiction Medicine. In 1990 she received a Doctorate in Chiropractic at Palmer West Chiropractic School. Prior to working in the health industry, Dr. Zafis worked as a computer programmer for the State of Illinois after receiving a degree in Math & Computer Science from the University of Illinois.
Her unique combination of experience and education provides a methodical approach to systematically identifying functional issues and applying treatments to resolve rather than mask symptoms. Dr. Zafis brings a sincere zeal to helping individuals obtain health independence.
